Every year the antlers of elk and deer fall of and new ones grow. These discarded antlers are called sheds.

Sheds from big game animals are found quite by accident as we are busy walking through the woods paying attention to other interests. Sometimes we can be so busy that we can walk right past the most majestic of sheds if we are not paying attention and are too narrowly focused on our plans for the day.
