Thanks This site is about my experiences as a handicapped hunter in Colorado. Hunting, as in most any area of life, is an endeavor that is enjoyed best with companions. I realize that I could not have accomplished what I have without the help of some friends. I would like to thank the following folks who have helped me along the way. I have learned something from each of them about hunting and life. Every seasoned hunter has someone that introduced them to the art of big game hunting. For me that person is Denny Jay. He is a Northern Colorado native and has been big game hunting all of his life. As a handicapped individual, I subconsciously put limitations on my physical abilities. Left to my own devices I would never have given much thought to the possibility of hunting elk, mule deer or antelope. I remember when he first proposed the opportunity to me. I was full of self doubt about the prospect, but he guided me through every stage of the process, from obtaining my hunter's safety card, to figuring out the puzzle of how to draw the hunt I wanted, to ensuring I had the proper equipment and finally the awe struck feeling of putting the cross hairs on a bull elk. Denny appreciates the whole spiritual aspect of the hunt and enjoys sharing his knowledge and helping those who might not otherwise get the opportunity of enjoying the great outdoors that hunting provides. Denny is patient and courteous and will go way beyond the call of duty to present hunters with the opportunity to harvest a big game animal. Denny's passion for hunting and experience as a professional guide prompted him to start his big game guide service.

Then there is Michael S. with whom I enjoyed the 98 deer hunt. It was as near to what I thought hunting big game should be. Others I wish to thank that have been in the field with me are Don B., Dave C., Dave C. Jr., Joe G., Robert A., my sons Steven, Sam and Neil, my daughters DoriéLe and MaryJo and a special thanks to my lovely wife Dorié who has encouraged me to enjoy the sport of hunting since day one. She also like to see those white packages in the freezer.
